Request for Art Proposals at Angelo State

The Texas Tech University System has posted three new Requests for Proposals (RFP) for art projects at Angelo State University, in accordance with the System policies for 1% for art for new construction projects.

The information packages available at the respective links will need to be downloaded and submitted separately for each of the projects.

John Van Alstine to Keynote 2011 Texas Sculpture Symposium

New York artist, John Van Alstine, will be the Keynote Speaker for the 2011 Texas Sculpture Symposium.  Presented by the University of Texas at Tyler in collaboration with the Sculpture Network of Texas, this fall’s Symposium will be held November 4th – 6th on the UT-Tyler campus in Tyler, Texas.

The Symposium will include juried outdoor and indoor sculpture exhibitions, workshops, presentations as well as the usual music, barbeque, beer and networking that the annual symposium is known for.

Call for Entries: Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition

The Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition & Exhibition is now accepting entries for the 25th competition. If you are interested in entering the competition, please refer to the following documents:

The postmark deadline for entries is February 12, 2011. Notifications will be emailed or mailed on March 9, 2011 (winners may be called). The Installation Celebration will be held April 14 – 16, 2011, with the actual exhibition running through March 2012.
